Spellfire House Rules

Spellfire
Spellfire is actually one of my most favorite things in the entire Forgotten Realms. However, characters who take the spellfire feat generally can produce hard to counter game unbalancing effects.
Requirements:
- As a spellfire wielder, until the character takes a level in the actual spellfire channler prestige class (I.E. finds someone or a priest,to train him or her in control), the DM controls the whims of the spellfire. This includes all benefits and negatives of being a novice weilder. If anyone has read the Shannara series I play spellfire like the Wishsong. It's extreamely powerful but the continued use of spellfire until higher level can consume a wielder.
- To take a level in spellfire channeler you must meet the requirements of the prestige class and find someone to train you in the control. (Like the force).
I have some other house rules I need to dig up from the last campaign that I had a spellfire wielder in but these will do for a start as no one has progressed to past the novice stage.
