Magic Set Editor
Step-by-step instructions for downloading and installing Magic Set Editor
- Go to Magic Set Editor and Download Magic Set Editor 2 v0.3.8 (if you don't play Magic, the reduced version is all you need)
- Run the program to install the software - during the installation, you can deselect the Magic Templates to save space.
Universal Card Set
Step-by-step instructions for downloading and installing the latest version of the UCS Core
- Download the latest UCS-Core package from Downloads
- Unzip the package (using something like Winzip or 7-zip)
- Copy the entire data directory to your MSE directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\Magic Set Editor 2\)
- Copy all the fonts in the font directory to your Windows Font directory (e.g. C:\Windows\Fonts\)
UCS Card Set
Download any UCS Card Set from Downloads. Opening the set is as easy as double-clicking on it from Windows Explorer or opening the file from within MSE.
UCS Templates
Step-by-step instructions for downloading and installing a new UCS template
- Download your template of choice from Downloads
- Unzip the file, and copy the template directory into your MSE data directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\Magic Set Editor 2\data)
- Open your UCS-compatible MSE-SET
- Click on the Style button on the MSE Toolbar
- You should see your new template appear in the list. Click on it, and then click "Use for all cards"
