Magic Set Editor

Step-by-step instructions for downloading and installing Magic Set Editor

1. Go to Magic Set Editor and Download Magic Set Editor 2 v0.3.8 (if you don't play Magic, the reduced version is all you need)
2. Run the program to install the software - during the installation, you can deselect the Magic Templates to save space.

Universal Card Set

Step-by-step instructions for downloading and installing the latest version of the UCS Core

1. Download the latest UCS-Core package from Downloads
2. Unzip the package (using something like Winzip or 7-zip)
3. Copy the entire data directory to your MSE directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\Magic Set Editor 2\)
4. Copy all the fonts in the font directory to your Windows Font directory (e.g. C:\Windows\Fonts\)

UCS Card Set

Download any UCS Card Set from Downloads. Opening the set is as easy as double-clicking on it from Windows Explorer or opening the file from within MSE.

UCS Templates

Step-by-step instructions for downloading and installing a new UCS template

1. Download your template of choice from Downloads
2. Unzip the file, and copy the template directory into your MSE data directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\Magic Set Editor 2\data)
3. Open your UCS-compatible MSE-SET
4. Click on the Style button on the MSE Toolbar
5. You should see your new template appear in the list. Click on it, and then click "Use for all cards"

Note: Because we're still in Beta, there may be some problems with the process. Please bear with us as we hammer out all the kinks. If you do find any problems, please report them on The Bug Tracking Page
