Bullet Points

  • Durindal, Zomarak, Keagan, Rune, and Banin return from unspecified mission for Raethryn - waiting at Wizard's Winter Tavern for an audience with the Addershag, rumored to have information about the Artblade and the Warblade - Raethryn coughs up a scroll with the necessary permissions to get in and see her. Mysterious dark figures in the tavern, looks like a Banite cleric and maybe a Zhent warrior (?) (Banin on edge) but they leave before trouble breaks out
  • Kalos comes in, looking for information about slave traders in the area from Raethryn - directed to Hermuk's Allgoods - a general store
  • Raethryn heads into a back room and passes out - R attempts to break in and rob him, but thinks better of it and stops short
  • Whole party (Ka included) travels to visit the Addershag. The Banite and company also there - bros head upstairs to see the seer
  • Seer (Addershag) chained to the wall, barely coherent, obviously insane:
    • Path of the Sister guides the way
    • Look to the North where the elves and dwarves are buried
    • Path leads to Laughter, Arena, ancient magic (?)
    • Finding one blade will be a long way to completing our journey
    • When we find the first clue, we'll return to the seer

  • Visit Hermuk's Allgoods - R/Ka/D confront Hermuk, looking for a slave girl (R does most of the smooth-talking, Ka looks upset) - find out most of the slaves have been transferred to Glister, R bribes Hermuk to get an introduction to his assistant in Glister (Orrus)
  • R/Ke follow a guard from Hermuk's to a dockside tavern (Dragon's Head) a suspected slaver hideout, find distinctive mud - rest of party goes back to Wizard's Winter - R/Ke rejoin after some basic recon
  • Extensive plan on the assault to free the slaves - eventually decide on the head-first approach - all to the Dragon's Head, get a table, order drinks, move into position to assault the bar - FIGHT! Z summons more rats, B/R/Ke head for the back rooms/attack barkeep, D/Ka hold the flank + Ka goes on a crit-streak - shadowy guy in the corner casting spells (?) has a magic chain shirt + sword
  • In the back, R/B find trick ladder leading to a loft - find spare change but no slaves
  • Trap door in floor leads to narrow passage - falling brick trap catches most of the party
  • Room w/3 doors and a tapestry - R pulls down the tapestry to find a passageway, B opens a door to a room swarming with dire rats - Z calms a few, but the rest have to be put down
  • R leads the way down the passageway, disarming a few trapped portcullises - find a passage leading out to the beach, a big double door, and a kennel of sorts, populated by dogs and a weird ghostly figure. Z releases the hounds, who run outside
  • Behind the double doors, we find a dozen or so slaves, but none is Ka's "Abigail" - we release them and take them to the Temple of Lliira to be returned to their homes[/list]
