Session Logs

  • Session #1 -
    • The Personal Journal of Dort Tre'thal:
      • Entry one aboard the Banshee en route from Sel Zonn station to Alderaan. Mistakes were made today, dangerous, dangerous mistakes. How could I have been so foolish to wield my lightsaber on an Imperial space station? I'll be lucky if I can ever show my face on an Imperial controlled planet again as I'm sure they have security footage from the docking bay. My falsified papers are likely useless now as well, all the hard work of my contacts and my family thrown away in one brazen act. I wouldn't have thought I would react like this to adventure, I've never had the stomach for it in the past. Perhaps it's just a sign of the times in which we now live. Who knows?
      • I wish that I could say that was the only mistake made but it wasn't. I nearly killed and extremely frightened, and by all appearances completely innocent, man in the refresher today. At the time our mission counted on it, and I only meant to knock him out but Riet confirmed that the man was lucky to have a pulse after I was through with him. Have I moved so far from my teachings in such a short time? I miss having Treg to confide in, he was so wise, he had seen so much. I suppose I could consult Kyp about these things but he seems as unsure as I am, and twice as bold.
      • Speaking of bold, I am not a fan of this Daken fellow that glommed onto us following our trouble in the promenade and I would just as soon have left him for station security but he lent us, and Maya, a hand which made him a part of what was happening and a thusly part of us. He has proven himself helpful in combat but I find his misguided anger at everything Jedi disturbing. In a way I can understand his position but as things are now the Jedi are nearly wiped out and those of us that remain had nothing to do with the trials he suffered nor the death of his people. It's kind of sad really, to cling to such anger for so long. Hopefully, if Kyp and I can live up to the mantle of Jedi, he will see the truth and learn to let it go.
  • Session #2 -
    • Epiphanies and Realizations
      • Things have occurred that have made me question statements in my previous journal entry. For one I nearly died. I rushed haphazardly into combat with an enemy far more well armed than myself. I gave no thought to cover or strategy and I nearly paid with my life. That must change. However in my near death experience I came to a certain realization regarding my status as a Jedi. That realization this: If I'm going to die I'm going to do it with a lightsaber in my hand and the force at my command.
      • Perhaps this is a foolish stance to take. Maybe, despite my distrust for him, Daken is rubbing off on me. But after meeting the Felucians a species so at one with the force, after running and hiding for so long after being gunned down with a quarterstaff in my hand, I feel that I must stand up and fight. I think that Kyp would disagree with me here but we Jedi are a vanishing lot and surely we must fight back to retain any place in the universe. Still I must tread lightly here for I sense that the dark side is not far from this line of thought.
      • I must also remember to exercise some caution, for we are being actively hunted and being too free with the force might cause the entire weight of the burgeoning empire to be brought down on my companions which is a fate I do not wish for them. Of course given our recent, and likely our future actions we may not be far from bringing that upon ourselves anyway. In the interest of caution I will be keeping my quarterstaff, and I will eventually seek out a trainer on this frigate to learn how to use a vibrosword or something similar so as to not out myself in minor altercations. But when things get heavy I will not shy away from using every tool the universe has provided me with.
