After several months, he could not ignore then shouting at night in the distant town meetings nor the scrutiny of his guardians much longer. In the quiet of the night he asked his mother what was going on. Nya would not say. She said a decision was coming and that because she had recovered from her illness things had been set into motion that she could not stop.

The next day Nya and Arranvar were put on house arrest. Several large armed orc warriors were stationed at the doors and large wolves at the windows. The old Orc Garnahg asked to see the family and because of his status was allowed in. Nya and Garnahg quickly dressed Arranvar in traveling garb and showed him a large tunnel that had been dug under his bed. He was instructed to meet Garnahg five miles on the trail north of the village crumbling back ruins of an ancient temple after dark. Garnahg left and soon after the elders came for Nya. Hours went by and Arranvar was getting more nervous. As the moonlight peaked into the windows of his room he was already crawling down the makeshift tunnel and out into the forest.

He ran as something in his heart and mind urged him forward into the darkness. He was nearly at the ruins when he heard the loud shriek of alarms in the distance. Garnahg met him before the ruins and upon horses they rode east into the night. They traveled without many breaks and traded their horses for fresh steads at watchtowers and druid circles. After four months Arranvar arrived in Sharn and found Samyer d'Sivis who gave Arranvar a new identity. He was told never to speak his mothers name or his given first or family names as it could lead to danger for his mother. Being that he would do anything to protect his mother, he has not spoken of her or himself other than his new name for four years working for Andrin Toromir at his inquisitive business. Arranvar turned 17 on the 4th year anniversary of the Day of Mourning.
