Interrogating Warrik and Meeting Darga

• fix Daken, Valee has complications, has to recuperate
• interrogate Warrik, he escorts us to Darga's Palace - cobbled together from ruined estates, massive blast doors - Warrik requests an audience, two Nikto appear on battlements, metal panel slides back - red eyes and gravelly voice threatens us - Darga is apparently expecting guests
• door opens, we follow Raiden down a long dark hallway, something is watching from the darkness, many unmarked doors line the hall - architecture is Neimodian in design, probably once belonged to a member of the Trade Federation, possibly an advisor of Nute Gunray
• music comes from ahead, we step into a huge throne room - smoky, tattered banners, large dias with the blobulous hutt
• conversation and music stops as we enter - Darga is pissed at Warrik for bringing outsiders, who grovels at the hutts feet - everyone laughs
• Riet pulls off a lie - convinces Darga that we're actually a secret investigative team sent to learn about some accounting anomalies
• big banquet - super opulent - seek private audience with Darga to discuss Sarlacc project - offers us quarters for the next few days, gives us data cards

Late Night Exploration

• visit quarters - separate rooms, very nice - one bed
• throne room has a locked balcony with cheering and excitement - blocked windows - three stairwells, doorway into the back where Darga disappeared
• Skarr goes to stairway #1 down - spirals down a long way (several stories) with no doors - 4th level down, there is a servants quarters - goes in - long hall with rooms off to the side, kitchen, - down 2 more flights, hear a murmur on the other side, some kind of music? opera? open doors - lobby area w/desk (reception area) - door behind the desk, lights are all out (dim illumination) - some kind of office but closed for the day - music is coming from office, some sort of Neimoidian composition/singer
• knock on door - time goes by - knock a little harder - 30 seconds, music turns down, LED next to door turns green, door slides open slightly, elderly Duros inside - Skarr does the discussion, complements the music, gets invited inside
• Duros = Gome - he's Darga's accountant - schedule an appointment for tomorrow - look for something to steal (unsuccessful) - asks about computer terminals - he's a little senile, starts yakking Skarr's ear off, gives Riet a chance to hack the computer
• Gome gets suspicious, makes us leave computer alone, story about a Devaronian that thought he was Gome's brother

• Kyp, Daken, Dort - goes to stairway #2 up - more hooting and hollering, people shuffling in and out, vendors selling food, short hallway w/double doors: when the open noise flows out, dark and sparsely lit - look down into pit: torches give a bit of illumination, people duking it out with all sorts of different weapons, fighting to the death, rocks provide minimal cover - wookiee grabs rodian and bashes head into a rock, see Darga overlooking from the far balcony, doesn't notice them
• electronic display holds odds and betting data - decide they can't really participate without getting Dark Side Points
• head downstairs - see 3 doors of similar design, all locked - possibly for combatant entrances?

• winding staircase goes up, long way - long corridor with transparisteel windows, 100 yards - single Gamorrean sentry at the far end, but he doesn't make an agressive move - nice view of the exterior, the shattered skyline of Skarra and the moons of Cato Neimoidia - around the corner there is some sort of aviary or birdhouse
• Skarr tries to walk past Gamorrean - succeeds, open door into large oval chamber with a high domed ceiling - tiled with a statue of Darga (or some other Hutt) - six doors (other than the one we came in) - doors all have electronic locks - approach statue, one of the eyes has some sort of moving parts/electronics - Riet can't hack the network
• Kyp phases through a door into a pitch black room, sees a bunch of crates floating on repulsorlifts, phases out, pair of Gamorreans come in - we head back downstairs
• analyze financial files - nothing to indicate imperial entanglements - note around conclusion of Clone Wars, took over a Tibanna gas smuggling facility, Darga makes a huge profit, even more than slave trading - empire tried to acquire some, threatened Darga, many shipping manifests, most have been funnelled to Empire, refined in Bespin and loaded to Empire ships - Darga is getting paid, but no real fingerprints on it - has a separate HQ in Cloud City - no mention of Sarlacc project

Battle with the Slavers

• night passes without incident - droid (TC663) comes to summon us to the throne room - Darga is entertaining some other visitors - 15 mins pass, new group comes in, delegation of slavers called Iron Ring (3 humans, rodian w/blaster rifle, black furred wookiee, scarred zabrak and two twi'lek slaves) - walk in as tho they own the place, very cocky - zabrak spits on floor, claims slaves are worthless and dying before market, demands money back - Darga laughs, tells them to go fuck themselves, he's not responsible for their negligence, demands apology and that they leave
• Skarr walks up and punches Zabrak - lays him out flat
• Dort draws q-staff, takes defensive stance
• Kyp moves up to support, readies to attack
• Daken moves in, draws weapon, readies battle strike
• Zabrak stands up - yells at Darga to stop the combat
• Rodian draws rifle - points at Skarr
• Wookiee points bowcaster at Skarr
• 3 humans draw pistols - 2 point at Skarr, 1 at Daken
• Riet points blaster at Rodian
• Skarr threatens them, demands an apology or smack will be laid down
• Humans have readies actions to shoot Skarr - one hits for 14, Wookie shoots and misses, Rodian shoots and misses, Riet shoots Rodian for 22
• Dort fights defensively
• Kyp drew blaster, shoots human, misses
• Daken holds action

• wait until 6 for meeting w/darga - head to throne room, and locked balcony entrance - viewing box for the arena, was once a garden - enters a team of gladiators sporadically, offers us a seat to watch the match
• Darga wants to sponsor us for gladiator championship on Ratatac - 3 devaronians vs 2 female humans and a wookiee
• 1v1 Human Slasher, Twi'lek Kelko - next match - Skarr wins 75 credits
• Darga wants us to participate in the next match - after much hemming and hawing, we agree to a stun match

Even More Exploring and a Fateful Execution

• Riet/Skarr/Kyp go to see Gome - Skarr convinces him to go get drinks
• Gome names Riet = Snoop, Skarr = Skrew, sends Skarr to get some wine, nice stout, 30yo Rancor Fire
• was in the Clone Wars, never saw combat - working for Darga 25yrs - notices the armor damage, story about arena - mentions Tibanna Gas, slaves and gas and slaves - gets slaves from Empire "you're not gonna make me shoot you, are you? you don't think you're the first armored jackass to come sniffing around?"
• Kyp mind tricks Gome to bed - Riet hacks the system, copies all the data, dig for more detail on the slave ring and tibanna gas - get numbers on the shipments, and data on the weird room - half are crates with tibanna gas, state-of-the-art security - recent activity has extensive footage of the gladiator fight, Riet corrupts/deletes the files - no evidence of Gome doing anything nefarious
• 100s of millions of credits of tibanna gas going thru the system - all funnelled to a single imperial facility on Bespin
• leave, sleep overnight
• wake up, escorted to throne room - Darga wants to show us something, door behind us opens, Warrik Raiden is dragged into the room, blindfolded - Darga wants us to execute him - gives Skarr a vibroaxe - Skarr refuses while Warrik is bound, guards release the bonds - Skarr gives him the vibroaxe, Warrik attacks, Skarr shoots, drops him - we get dark side points
