Brit Bannock was one of my characters from a 2nd Edition campaign I participate in on Sundays. Originally he was a breach gnome, a strong fighter with weapon finesse that was almost magical. He was the first in the fight and last to leave. However, he wasn’t all brawn. Brit was blessed with an exceptional intelligence that allowed him to comprehend many skills presented by his Elders. His initial teachings were not enough and with experimentation he began to rival even the most experienced gnomish inventors. His most glorified invention was the different uses of gun powder and he used it to his advantage in battle. Unfortunately all that knowledge has been lost. All that remains in Brit’s overly active mind are holes. Memories that defined him in the past are no more than vague images barely recognizable. The stasis and those who put him in it have robbed him of all that he loves. Even his physical prowess has left him. No longer is he able to jump into battle with the ferocity of a cornered animal. Instead he is disoriented in a vibrant and chaotic new world forced to rely on his skills of engineering and invention to rise above his limitations.
