Breakout! Session 4:
From Toosigma
Session 4: Train Ride! The party was preparing to head out to hunt down the fugitives when they get word from Syria d’Lyrandar that a group of escapees have commandeered one of the lightning rail trains and headed north out of Sharn towards Wroat. Syria makes her fastest airship available to catch the train.
The train was only 3 cabins cars and an engine making it a bit faster than other lightning rail trains but the airship was able to catch up relatively quickly. In the first car was in the cargo car and nothing was in the cargo bays. The group proceeded to split up on either side so they could better ambush whatever was ahead. Communicating via telepathy the group proceeded to the second car and defeated a shadow, 2 changeling assassins, and 2 warforged soldiers. The shadow slipped through the floor and Minerath charged in. Leodon also charged in and got ripped to shreds by wraiths. After a tenious battle the goons were defeated.
In the third car, the party the encountered an Emerald Claw Necromancer, a wraith, and several zombies and defeated them. The engine car was empty and Leoden and Andrin were able to stop the train. After interrogating the necromancer they learned that Sever, Syn, and Count ir’Bredin had departed a day earlier and headed toward the Dragon Teeth.
