Breakout! Session 3:
From Toosigma
After stopping Aric Blacktree and his plot to blow up Morgrave University, Syria tasks the group to escort the nercomancer to the prison tower. A group of city guard led by Segeant Dolom join the group and they proceed to head to the prison. As they approach the tower a huge explosion rocks the tower and crashes into other tower above. The escort and the party head towards the tower guarding Aric in case it is a rescue attempt for him but find dozens of pirate thugs flooding into the main courtyard of the prison. The city guard have also begun to arrive and a large battle has started.
The party along with a few of their city guard escorts head into the battle and see the dragonborn pirate lord Kh’raan Var escaping from the ruined tower. They fight through the pirates ripping path towards the escapee but cannot get to him before he runs down a side bridge into Sharn.
After dispatching a few more thugs, the party runs after the pirate lord over the bridges of Sharn. The party chases after the pirate lord until they reach the main bridge between Central Plateau and the Dura Plateau. There they encounter a big ogre, hobgoblin archers, and Kenku. The challenging fight led the group to run away after the ogre proved more than a match for even their toughest warrior.
The group finally arrives at a pirate airship with Kh’raan Var and his Kenku pirate warriors. The Harm’s way is there docked on the cranes. They fight their way down onto ship battling through the pirate lords minions and finally face the dragonborn in a nearly pitched battle. At last the dragonborn falls along with the rest of his peons. When the group of heros returned to the scene of the battle with Kh’raan Var, the pirate thugs had been defeated but at heavy cost. Aric Blacktree had escaped after a rescue party got him away from his city guard escorts. In addition Syn a changeling assassin, Sever a warforged revolutionary, and Count Vance ir’Bredin had also escaped from the prison tower. The hunt was about to begin.
