Aligned Blade [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Concentration 8 ranks.
Benefit: You add the alignment special abilities to your list of available special abilities. Any ability must match one of your alignment components. For example, a Lawful Good character would add the Holy and Axiomatic special abilities to his list, while a Neutral Evil character would add the Unholy special ability to her list.
Blade of Fury [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, rage or frenzy class ability, Concentration 4 ranks.
Benefit: When raging, your mindblade's threat range doubles. You also add Vorpal to the list of available special abilities for your mindblade.
Blade of Silence [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, sneak attack class ability, Concentration 4 ranks.
Benefit: When making a sneak attack with your mindblade you do 1 additional damage per [Mindblade] feat you possess. You also add Coup de Grace to the list of available special abilities for your mindblade.
Blade of the Holy Champion [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Smite Evil class feature, Concentration 4 ranks
Benefit: You add the Holy special ability to your list of available special abilities, and your mindblade is always treated as good-aligned for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction. In addition, whenever you use your smite evil ability, the threat range of your mindblade is doubled.
Bladestorm [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Bladewind, Throw Mindblade, Soulblade Warrior, Concentration 15 ranks.
Benefit: When you use the full attack action, you can give up your regular attacks and instead throw one mindblade at your full base attack bonus at a number of opponents within 30 feet equal to your ranks in Concentration. Regardless of the number of attacks you make, you only provoke attacks of opportunity as though you made a single ranged attack.
Bladewind [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Throw Mindblade, Soulblade Warrior, Concentration 15 ranks.
Benefit: As a full attack, when wielding your mindblade, you can give up your regular attacks and instead fragment your mindblade to make one melee attack at your full base attack bonus against each opponent within reach. Each fragment functions identically to your regular mindblade.
When using bladewind, you forfeit any bonus or extra attacks granted by other feats or abilities (such as the Cleave feat or the haste spell). The mindblade immediately reverts to its previous form after the bladewind attack.
Defender's Blade [Mindblade, Psionic]
You can momentarily enhance the defensive ability of your mindblade by expending your psionic resources.
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Defending special ability
Benefit: While psionically focused you double the bonus to AC provided by the Defending special ability. If you expend your focus you gain a +4 dodge bonus to AC for one round.
Dread Hunter [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Hunter's Blade, Epic Mindblade
Benefit: You add the Dread epic special ability corresponding to each of your Favored Enemies to your list of available special abilities.
Dual Wielder [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Shape Mindblade, Two-weapon Fighting, Concentration 12 ranks.
Benefit: When wielding more than one mindblade, the penalty to your enhancement bonus for materializing more than one mindblade is reduced by one, to a minimum penalty of 0.
Special: You can take this feat multiple times. Its benefits stack.
Energized Shield [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Shield of Thought, Concentration 6 ranks.
Benefit: Every time you manifest your Shield of Thought, you can choose any +1 special ability from the shield special ability list. This ability lasts as long as you maintain the shield.
Special: You can take this feat more than once. Each time you do, you can choose an additional +1 special ability, or any combination of abilities whose cost does not exceed the number of times you've taken this feat. You cannot gain more shield special abilities bonus higher than the special ability bonus on your mindblade.
Energy Blade [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Concentration 6 ranks.
Benefit: Choose one energy type from acid, cold, electricity, fire, or sonic. Your mindblade adds a single point of damage of the chosen energy type on each successful attack. You also add the energy special abilities corresponding to the chosen energy type to your list of special abilities. For example, if you choose fire, you add the Flaming and Flaming Burst special abilities to your list of available special abilities.
Special: You can take this feat more than once. Each time you must choose a different energy type.
Enlightened Warrior [Mindblade, Psionic]
Your mindblade melee attacks are guided by inner wisdom rather than physical strength.
Prerequisites: Soulblade Warrior, Concentration 12 ranks.
Benefit: You use your Wisdom bonus instead of your strength bonus to determine your attack and damage bonuses while using your mindblade in melee.
Special: A monk can select this as a bonus feat at 1st, 2nd or 6th level, in addition to the normal options available at those levels. They must still meet all prerequisites for the feat.
Epic Aligned Blade [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Epic Mindblade, Aligned Blade.
Benefit: You add the epic alignment special abilities to your list of available special abilities. Any ability must match one of your alignment components. For example, a Lawful Good character would add the Holy Power and Axiomatic Power special abilities to his list, while a Neutral Evil character would add the Unholy Power special ability to her list.
Epic Energy Blade [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Epic Mindblade, Energy Blade (with the chosen energy type).
Benefit: Choose one energy type from acid, cold, electricity, fire, or sonic. You add the energy special ability corresponding to the chosen energy type to your list of available special abilities.
Special: You can take this feat more than once. Each time you must choose a different energy type.
Epic Mindblade [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Concentration 24 ranks.
Benefit: Your enhancement bonus can now rise above +5 and you can buy additional special abilities from the Epic Mindblade Abilities list. Your Mindblade counts as Epic for bypassing damage reduction.
Executor's Blade [Mindblade, Psionic]
When your mindblade strikes true your insight allows you to bring the advantage home and bring your opponent to his knees.
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Keen special ability
Benefit: While psionically focused you gain a +4 insight bonus to confirm a critical threat. If you expend your focus, you automatically confirm your threat.
Focused Shield [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Shield of Thought, Concentration 6 ranks.
Benefit: As long as you are psionically focused, the enhancement bonuses on your Shield of Thought and mindblade are not reduced when you manifest both simultaneously.
Form Mindblade [Psionic]
Prerequisites: Must have a Power point reserve (being Psionic).
Benefit: You are now skilled at forming your psionic energy as a physical weapon. As a move action, you can create a semisolid blade composed of psychic energy distilled from your own mind. The blade is identical in all ways (except visually) to a short sword of a size appropriate for you. For instance, a Medium character materializes a Medium mindblade that you can wield as a light weapon, and the blade deals 1d6 points of damage (crit 19-20/×2). Characters who are smaller or larger than Medium create mindblades identical to short swords appropriate for their size, with a corresponding change to the blade’s damage. The wielder of a mindblade gains the usual benefits to his attack roll and damage roll from a high Strength bonus.
The blade can be broken (it has hardness 10 and 10 hit points); however, you can simply create another on your next move action. The moment you relinquish your grip on the mindblade, it dissipates. A mindblade is considered a magic weapon for the purpose of overcoming damage reduction.
You can use feats such as Power Attack or Combat Expertise in conjunction with the mindblade just as if it were a normal weapon. You can also choose mindblade for feats requiring a specific weapon choice, such as Weapon Specialization (Mindblade). Powers or spells that upgrade weapons can be used on a mindblade.
Even in places where psionic effects do not normally function (such as within a null psionics field), a character can attempt to sustain your mindblade by making a DC 25 Concentration check. On a successful check, you maintain your mindblade for a number of rounds equal to your ranks in Concentration before your need to check again. On an unsuccessful attempt, the mindblade vanishes. As a normal materialize action (usually a move action) on your turn, you can attempt a new Concentration check to rematerialize your mindblade while he remains within the psionics negating effect.
When you take this feat you gain Concentration as a class skill. You are always proficient with your own mindblade.
Ghost Hunter [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Concentration 9 ranks.
Benefit: You add the Ghost Touch, Undead Bane, and Disruption special abilities to your list of available special abilities.
Hunter's Blade [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Favored Enemy class feature, Concentration 6 ranks.
Benefit: You add the Bane special ability corresponding to each of your Favored Enemies to your list of available special abilities. In addition, while your mindblade is materialized, it vibrates slightly whenever one of your favored enemies is within 30 feet, alerting you to their presence.
Improved Material Harmonics [Mindblade]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Material Harmonics, Concentration 12 ranks.
Benefit: When you emulate a material with Material Harmonics, your weapon is now considered made of that material for all purposes, and the material benefits are not lost in a null psionics field. You can also change the material type by spending 1 full minute in concentration. If you make a Concentration check (DC 30) you can change the material type as a full round action that provokes an attack of opportunity.
Improved Shape Mindblade [Mindblade, Psionic]
Your experience with your mindblade and its malleable form allows you to change the form and function of your mindblade in a moment's notice.
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Shape Mindblade, Soulblade Warrior, Concentration 12 ranks.
Benefit: As Shape Mindblade except that you can change the shape of your mindblade as a swift action instead of a full-round action.
Improved Shield of Thought [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Shield of Thought, Focused Shield, Concentration 9 ranks.
Benefit: You can manifest your thoughtshield as a Heavy shield or Tower shield (if you are proficient with Tower shields), instead of a Light shield. You can manifest your thoughtshield as a swift action.
Special: If you also have the Soulblade Warrior feat, you can manifest both your thoughtshield and your mindblade as a single swift action.
Inner Focus [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Soulblade Warrior.
Benefit: You no longer need to maintain psionic focus to keep your mindblade's special abilities.
Normal: When you lose focus, your mindblade loses all its special abilities.
Knife to the Soul [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Resonating Blade, Concentration 15 ranks.
Benefit: You gain the ability to resonate your blade to disrupt the mental functions of your opponent. When discharging your resonant blade ability, you can choose to substitute Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma damage (your choice) for extra dice of damage. For each die of extra damage you give up, you deal 1 point of damage to the ability score you choose. You can combine extra dice of damage and ability damage in any combination.
You decide which ability score your psychic strike damages and the division of ability damage and extra dice of damage when you charge your mindblade with the Resonant Blade Ability.
Mindless creatures are not affected by this ability.
Material Harmonics [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Concentration 6 ranks.
Benefit: You can emulate certain special materials you have come in contact with, and your mindblade is treated as though it were made of the chosen material for the purpose of bypassing Damage Reduction. You can only emulate one material at a time. This ability works exactly like a weapon special ability, except it has no enhancement bonus cost associated.
Mental Armory [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Shape Mindblade, Soulblade Warrior, Concentration 18 ranks.
Benefit: You can store an additional mindblade of any type that you could normally create. You can assign different special abilities to this mindblade in the same manner as you do with your primary mindblade. You can switch between your primary and secondary mindblade shapes as easily as you can materialize your primary mindblade.
You can choose to materialize both the primary and secondary mindblade shapes and wield both simultaneously, but you are still limited by the number of blades you can physically hold and you take the normal -1 penalty to the enhancement bonus for wielding two Mindblades at the same time.
Special: You can take this feat more than once. Each time you take it, you can store another mindblade shape.
Mindseye Acuity [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Throw Mindblade, Soulblade Warrior, Concentration 12 ranks.
Benefit: Your ranged attacks are guided by your inner wisdom and mental strength rather than your physical abilities, allowing you find the weakest points in their defense. You add your Wisdom bonus to ranged attacks and damage, but only with your Mindblade weaponry.
Special: A monk can select this as a bonus feat at 1st, 2nd or 6th level, in addition to the normal options available at those levels. They must still meet all prerequisites for the feat.
Monastic Blade [Mindblade, Psionic]
Your mindblade becomes an extension of your body.
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Flurry of Blows class ability, Concentration 4 ranks.
Benefit: You can use your Unarmed Damage for your mindblade instead of its normal damage and your mindblade counts as both a manufactured weapon and a natural weapon.
Special: A monk can select this as a bonus feat at 1st, 2nd or 6th level, in addition to the normal options available at those levels. They must still meet all prerequisites for the feat.
Oversize Blade [Mindblade]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Shape Mindblade, Concentration 12 ranks.
Benefit: The damage for your mindblade increases by one step, as if it were one size category larger, without increasing the requirements to wield it.
Special: This feat does not stack with any other feat or magic item that provides a similar bonus, such as Improved Natural Attack.
Reforge Mindblade [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Shape Mindblade, Concentration 11 ranks.
Benefit: You can change the special abilities bound to your mindblade by meditating for 10 minutes instead of the usual 8 hours. You can rearrange the special abilities as a full-round action (that provokes an attack of opportunity) by making a DC 25 Concentration check.
Resonant Blade [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Concentration 6 ranks.
Benefit: You gain finer control of your mindblade, which allows you to vibrate your mindblade and deal more damage in a strike. As a move action, you can charge your mindblade with this destructive vibration. The next time you successfully hit an opponent with your mindblade, you may chose to expend your charge to have the resonant blade ability deal an extra 1d8 damage to your opponent. This is typeless damage that bypasses all DR.
The charge will remain in your mindblade until discharged. If your mindblade dissipates while charged, your mindblade will reform charged.
Special: This feat may be taken multiple times. Each time you take this feat, the damage dealt by Resonant Blade increases by 1d8. This feat may taken once for every 3 ranks you have in Concentration.
Shape Mindblade [Mindblade]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Concentration 8 ranks.
Benefit: You gain greater control over your mindblade. As a full-round action, you can change your mindblade to replicate any melee or thrown weapon you are proficient with. The weapon functions in all ways (except visually) as the replicated weapon.
Alternatively, you can split your mindblade into two identical weapons you are proficient with, suitable for fighting with a weapon in each hand. (The normal penalties for fighting with two weapons apply.) However, both mindblades have an enhancement bonus 1 lower than you would otherwise create with a single mindblade.
Special: If you have more than two hands, you can further subdivide your mindblade, but each additional pair causes the total enhancement bonus on each blade to be reduced by 1. (e.g., a thri-kreen wielding 4 identical mindblades would have a total enhancement bonus on each of the four blades 2 lower than the bonus with a single blade.)
Shield of Thought [Mindblade, Psionic]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Concentration 6 ranks.
Benefit: You are now skilled at forming your psionic energy as a physical shield. Just like forming a mindblade (usually a move action), you can create a semisolid shield composed of psychic energy distilled from your own mind. The shield is identical in all ways (except visually) to a light shield (+1 shield bonus to AC, -1 Armor Check penalty) of a size appropriate for you. The shield can be sundered (it has hardness 10 and 10 hit points); however, you can simply create another on your next move action. The moment you relinquish your grip on the thoughtshield, it dissipates. The shield has the same enhancement bonus and special abilities as your normal mindblade, unless you materialize both the shield and blade simultaneously, in which case the enhancement bonus on each is reduced by 1. You must choose as a free action at the beginning of your turn each round whether the enhancement bonus applies to attack or defense.
You can use feats such as Shield Bash or Improved Shield Bash in conjunction with the thoughtshield just as if it was a normal shield. You can also choose thoughtshield for feats requiring a specific weapon choice, such as Weapon Focus (thoughtshield). Powers or spells that upgrade shields and armor can be used on a thoughtshield.
In an area where psionic effects are suppressed, your thoughtshield is treated exactly like your mindblade, and can be materialized if you successfully make the DC25 Concentration check described in the Form Mindblade feat.
Song and Dance [Mindblade]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, bardic music class ability, Concentration 4 ranks.
Benefit: You add Dancing to your list of available special abilities. While dancing your mindblade is treated as if you were holding it (it doesn't dissipate, and you cannot manifest additional blades). If your mindblade has Dancing as a special ability and you activate it while using your bardic music ability, it will continue to dance until you stop performing.
Soul Armor [Mindblade]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Shape Mindblade, Shield of Thought, Concentration 15 ranks.
Benefit: You gain a Deflection bonus to your AC equal to the enhancement bonus of your mindblade.
Soulblade Warrior [Mindblade]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade, Concentration 4 ranks.
Benefit: You can form your mindblade as a swift action instead of a move action, and you gain a +2 bonus to your Initiative.
Throw Mindblade [Mindblade]
Prerequisites: Form Mindblade
Benefit: The mindblade can now sustain itself for a short duration once it leaves your hand. It counts as a ranged weapon with a range increment of 30 feet. Whether or not the attack hits, a thrown mindblade then dissipates.
Special: If you have the Soulblade Warrior feat, you can throw a number of mindblades per round equal to the number of melee attacks you could make, and can intersperse melee attacks and thrown attacks during a single full attack action. This counts as a swift action and is an exception to how manifesting your Mindblade normally works.
