Campaign Background
The campaign will begin in Sharn, on the southern coast of Khorvaire. The city is a built on the bluffs overlooking the Dagger River and is composed of huge towers stretching up to the floating district of Skyway. If you've seen Coruscant (Star Wars) or Mega City One (Judge Dredd), you've got a decent idea what it looks like. There are millions of possible reasons for any character to be there, but if you need/want help with a story, I'm more than happy to oblige.
At present, the campaign will revolve around themes similar to those found in the Indiana Jones and the Mummy movies: Recovering powerful artifacts, ensuring they don't fall into the wrong hands, and ultimately saving the world. There are also several smaller threads dealing with other themes, including crime investigation, political intrigue, and social climbing. If there is a topic that you would like to explore, please let me know so that I can work it into the campaign.
Feel free to start working on your character, and let me know what you're thinking about. I'll do my best to get you into a cohesive group prior to the first game, and the more information I have the easier it will be for me to design adventures that are meaningful and exciting to your characters. If you don't have a strong idea of a background, or if you have a generic background that you'd like to mesh with the world of Eberron, let me know and I'm more than happy to help out and provide ideas or directions that you could explore. If you do have specific ideas from the campaign that you'd like to investigate, let me know and I'll do my best to work them into the plotlines.
