Physical Description:
Human male, age 29, receding brown hair, brown eyes, fair complexion, wears wire-framed glasses. Five foot seven, in decent but not great shape. Usually wears jeans and a sym-leather jacket.
Background:
Human male age 29, born and raised in Seattle. Father died when he was 9, and his mother was left raising he and his siblings (two older brothers, Connor and Adam, and one younger sister, Katherine). From a young age, Bryce knew that he wanted to help people, and started volunteering at the local hospital when he was 15. He discovered that he had the magical ability to heal people which only cemented his career choice. Though he kept his ability secret at first, fearing that it was something wrong or unnatural, he has gradually come to accept it and utilize it as any other tool.
He went to school back east as MIT&M as a pre-med student where he further developed both his mundane and magical skills. When he graduated, he came back to Seattle for med-school/residency to help with his mother (who has a rare form of Alzheimer's). During his residency, he took a special interest in forensic pathology as a way to help those that could no longer help themselves. At age 25, he started working part-time at Redmond General Hospital, doing his best to stem the tide of wounded.
Six months ago his eldest brother, Connor, disappeared mysteriously. Connor had always been the most responsible of the family, and took the lion's share of supporting their mother in her illness. With his disappearance, Bryce was left to pay the medical bills on his own, and he was forced to turn to shadowrunning as a means to make ends meet, and he also hopes to find some clue as to his brother's whereabouts. He still works at the morgue and at Redmond General as often as he can.
Notable NPCs:
- Katherine (Katy) Fairfax: younger sister, age 20, born after her father died, aspiring actress. Bryce secretly subsidizes her rent, so she doesn't have to live in a dangerous neighborhood.
- Adam Fairfax: Older brother, age 32, got into gangs after his father died, and has been slowly working his way up the ranks. Black sheep of the family, Bryce doesn't really approve, but has helped him out of a few scrapes.
- Connor Fairfax: Older brother, age 36, worked for Lone Star (and a key influence on Bryce's joining law enforcement) up until his disappearance six months ago. Bryce idolizes Connor, who took over the paternal role after the death of their father. Connor left behind his wife (Lisa) and son (Alex), who also helps support.
- Alison Fairfax: Mother, age 55, suffering from Alzheimer's and is currently hospitalized. Bryce pays all the non-covered hospital bills.
- Victor sanders: college roommate, age 29, computer whiz, best friend, currently working in the Advanced Research department at the Renraku Arcology.
- Jason Antonelli: Connor's partner at Lone star, age 31, still investigating Connor's disappearance though the official investigation has been closed. Good friends with the Fairfax family since childhood and still keeps in close touch with Bryce.
- Jerusa Paeva: Head of the ER at Redmond general, age 57, mentor and friend.
